It happens

There is a certain
Abstraction to attraction
Its much easier to identify
In the aftermath
It’s not unlike lightening
(Or car crashes)
There are broken bones
And treacherous roads
There are yearnings
And third degree burnings
But no one truly knows
When the havoc will unfold
There are best guesses
And high velocity weapons
There are platitudes
And electrocutions
(At high altitudes)
There are inadequate means
In foreseeing the frenzied reach
Of cumulus stratus
Or the tumultuous crush
Of that beige station wagon
It’s just—
When it happens
It happens

All this running around

I can’t fight it much longer

Something’s tryin’ to get out

And it’s never been closer

If my take-off fails

Make up some other story

But if I never come back

Tell my mother I’m sorry

Let it happen – Tame Impala
