You see—

It’s not really me, he’s wanting

It’s the arrows of the marrow

In the imbue of the sinews

It’s the retrieval of the tremble

In the drizzle of the symbols

It’s the hazardous bliss

In that strangers kiss

It’s in the want for renaissance

In the flesh that’s flaunted

And I am pleased to be

His recognizance

That old, terrible ache

The one that can’t be mistaken

In naked reincarnate

You see—

It’s not really me, he’s wanting

I am merely the ghost of the past

In the familiar shape

Of an hour glass
