empathic emergency

a fifty one fifty

kind of love

pioneering the art form

of bloodletting

emotional sepsis personified

she’s an overdose

disguised as a memory

self-pity toxicity

and you are

cardiopulmonary resuscitation

spoken in prophetic verses

shrouded by the sirens

of her ambulance chasing

scientifically speaking

rigor mortis has set in

stiff limbs resistant

the only life

now worth saving

is your own

the doctors can’t stitch

a wound that wide

vertical vanity

do you think

hemophilia is heroic?

this is an

empathic emergency

"She would fill endless notebooks with stories about the characters in her life, their impressions, words, friends, lovers, inspirations, fantasies. She spent her days dreaming up worlds where they fit together in visions; the if only, the never again, the someday. Those who knew her best would describe her as a creature with a clear and sometimes painful sense of herself; furious with ideas and convictions, to a point that she frightened love away with discernment and a relentless strength of character."
