Ignition

my love is a burning building

with no fire escapes

fed by breath, starved by abandon

our mouths fall together

and ignite

but, oh, this oxidation is toxic

you fuel the blaze

and I smolder

behind closed doors

a combustible combination

lethal longings

you and I

extinguished

Those who knew her best would describe her as a creature with a clear and sometimes painful sense of herself; furious with ideas and convictions, to a point that she frightened love away with discernment and a relentless strength of character."
